![]() He isn’t fully recreating the scenes, he adds his own ideas to them and some people may think it’s a good idea to take scenes from other famous movies and see them presented in a different and unique way that different producers can show to audiences. People may take this as non original content because he is taking so many scenes from many movies and he is known to do this with most of his movies like in “Pulp Fiction”, but I see this as taking others work and turning it into your own and adding your own twist to it. Those are just some examples from many movies that Quentin Tarantino took inspiration from. “Phantom Of The Paradise” (1974): Split screen effect. “City of the Living Dead” (1980): During the fight scene between the assassin and the schoolgirl bodyguard, when she is dying slowly, she has blood coming out of her eyes and that happens in this movie also but Tarantino doesn’t do the full recreation of the scene. “Twisted Nerve” (1968): The famous song the nurse is whistling in Kill Bill that everyone knows is from the “Twisted Nerve” thriller. ![]() “They Call Her One Eye” (1974): The eye patch that the nurse wears in Kill Bill is inspired from this movie “Black Sunday” (1977): A women disguised as a nurse tries to murder a paitent with a syringe of red fluid, this happens in both movies “Citizen Kane” (1941): A scene of a girl laying down in black and white film, almost the same but in Kill Bill the scene is more zoomed in. “Lady SnowBlood” (1973): Another fight scene that is set outside in the snow and the scenes are almost the exact same. “Sanjuro” (1962): The same aspects taken from a fight scene, both in black and white to hide the blood and gore. “Game Of Death” (1978): A fight scene in this movie looks the same as Kill Bill, the main characters are wearing a very similar kombat outfit that are yellow. “Gone in 60 Seconds” (1974): A driving scene of a car with sunglasses along the dash and the scenes look pretty similar. “The Searchers” (1956): The scene of the assassin, showing a past scene of when she was pregnant and it looked like the scene from this movie of a cowboy standing in a similar area. Through the three part series of “Everything is a Remix”, they talk about Kill Bill and movies that inspired certain scenes in Kill Bill, most of them are these: Kill Bill is a genius movie and has a lot of iconic scenes in it, but people don’t know that the scenes from this movie are from clips from many other movies. She seeks out revenge on Bill and associates that are on her kill list. Kill Bill is a movie made in 2003 by Quentin Tarantino and it’s about an assassin that went into a coma for 4 years when her ex boss Bill attacks her and his associates. Creativity cannot be achieved without finding inspiration from others’ work and creating new concepts based on them. ![]() Sometimes it’s plagiarism that are completely stolen ideas or it can be taking the original content and making it your own with some aspects from the original idea. Everything is based on original ideas to build creativity, to learn, and recreate something to make it better.
